- Date set for summer rallye: Aug.17, 2002. Unanimously the assembly accepts the invitation by Daniel Lauber to hold lunch either at his house in Wildi, Randa, or at his chalet St. Hubertus on the Täschalp. Novvelty: the proprietor of the Kin hut invites us to spend the night of Aug. 16-17 at the hut, which will be reserved for us. Access by foot from Randa or Täsch, or by helicopter.
- New auditors:: Beat Julen, reelected, and our member Hans-Georg Syz, of the Bank Märki-Baumann, Zürich, in replacement of Miggi Biner, to whom go our thanks for his many years of help.
- It is decided that in future our annual accounts on Sept. 30 will be sent out together with the invitation to attend the General Assembly, as well as proposed changes of the charter if any.
- On proposition of Jürgen Pelka, the Committee is authorized to increase the subsidies for the Guides to whose premium for the life-insurance we now contribute with less than CHF 600.00, within the limits of the Club's financial possibility.
- On proposition of the same Jürgen, a clause which we shall call "Nihil obstat" is adopted: our annual contribution, unchanged, is considered as the minimum, and each member is free to contribute higher amounts, to increase the Club's financial reserves for possible future actions.
- Shortening of the lee time in working incapacity compensation
At the last General Assembly, it was decided to study the possibility by the Club to partly gap the period that runs between the date of working incapacity and the date when insurance pays daily compensation. As no solution has yet been found, our secretary for relations with Guides, Benedikt Perren, is charged with finding a way out for the next General Assembly. The General Assembly was followed by a common dinner at the Brasserie of the Mont-Cervin, where we could choose between a typical Valais menu and a brasserie menu.
